Our leadership team includes tech entrepreneurs, pioneering engineers, a former marine sergeant turned Taekwondo black belt, education experts and community outreach specialists. They are supported and guided by a venerable board of advisors that counts among their membership a diverse group of industry leaders.
ELEVEN FIFTY ACADEMY PRESIDENT
John has over 20+ years of experience in entrepreneur in high tech and finance sectors. Additionally, while serving in the USMC, his core responsibilities were programming and training. As of the start of 2017, John has served as the President for two years.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (“COO”)
Bob has over 30+ years in leading companies in the technology space, including as CIO for a Fortune 500 multi-national corporation. In these leadership roles, he was responsible for development and providing training leadership to the entire enterprise. As of the start of 2017, Bob has served as the COO for over a year.
DIRECTOR OF LEARNING
Jenn has over 20+ years of training and development experience in the public education, high tech, government, and utility sectors. She led global training teams to deliver training for over 100+ companies, which included launching an industry certification. As of the start of 2017, Jenn has served in her role for over a year.
DIRECTOR, CAREER SERVICES
Brent Shopp is the Co-Founder of Avancos and is currently serving as the Director, Career Services for Eleven Fifty Academy. At Avancos he oversaw delivery and strategy for all of the service lines globally. As one of the architects of Avancos’ Advanced Insight Talent Intelligence product, Brent is constantly striving to create new methods and technologies that will allow companies to make better strategic Business, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning decisions. In today’s data driven world, the volume, speed (both structured and unstructured), and accuracy of data provides the world with an unprecedented opportunity to make more informed strategic decisions.
Brent has more than nineteen years of experience in strategic Business Solutions Consulting, Talent Acquisition and Human Capital Consulting. With this proven experience and expertise, he has been able to leverage and create innovative sourcing and competitive intelligence methodologies that are seamless within the talent acquisition life cycle. By aligning talent acquisition effort with the demand of the organization, companies can achieve their goals faster and in a more strategic manner.
Heavily involved in the Sales Process, he was tasked with identifying and creating custom business solutions for prospective clients. At Eleven Fifty Academy, he builds relationships with companies that can best leverage the talent that Eleven Fifty Academy is developing. Through networking and leveraging subject matter expertise, Brent is responsible for generating new opportunities and solving strategic business issues.
Having earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University, he is anavid supporter of innovative technologies and growth. Always looking for new ideas and concepts, Brent is a continuous learner, using MOOC’s and Peer Groups to constantly increase his awareness. An active member in the local tech start-up community, he also is very involved with the Indianapolis Chapter of the PKD Foundation (Polycystic Kidney Disease). Tonya serves as the Director of Employer Advocacy at Eleven Fifty Academy. She is a proven Information Technology solutions executive with over 19 years of progressive experience in business development, client relationship management, and proposal management. She has held key roles in business and technology consulting firms across the country, and also serves as a Board Member for Women & Hi Tech.
Scott A. Jones
Veteran early-stage entrepreneur, inventor, strategist, and venture capitalist. CEO, Chairman, and/or Director of many companies, participated in raising more than $200 million of capital, with collective returns of over $5 billion for investors.
Currently, CIO at Stonegate Mortgage Corporation. 20+ years of experience in information security and information technology leadership within a multi-industry capacity, whose passion is building high performance technology teams that deliver results.
Currently, Managing Partner at Allos Ventures. Venture capitalist that has managed investments in software and services companies, like Aprimo andKnowlagent. Don is the chairman of the advisory board for Indiana University’s School of Informatics and Computing, serves on the advisory boards of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centers for IU and Ball State, and teaches the Entrepreneurship capstone course at Purdue University.

Currently, Owner at AndrewGroup, Inc. Started PC Solutions, which grew to 25 employees and reached the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Top 10 list of Indiana computer companies. Andy anticipated the Internet’s impact on the desktop and refocused his business efforts on providing system and network support. AndrewGroup, the parent company of AllThingsIT, draws on the full breadth of Andy’s experience to provide support for tomorrow’s needs and today’s technology. Andrew was also a former Indiana State House Representative.

Focused on representation of private equity funds and funds-of funds of all types, and working on alternative investments for professional investors, including public and private pension funds, and angel investors. John also regularly work with middle-market companies on their general corporate and financing issues.
