  • What is the SmartTech Program?

    The SmartTech Program is designed to not only help our students find employment and develop their skills after they graduate, but it is designed to help employers mitigate the risk of hiring. Our graduates that have completed the 12-week SmartStart immersive learning experience can be hired for a three-month internship (SmartLaunch), a 12-month apprenticeship (SmartHire), or as a Direct Hire. The SmartTech program is offered by the Academy to help mitigate the risk of hiring. Both graduates and employers will have access to Academy staff to help support this transition at no charge. Our dedicated Employer and Student advocates are here to support you and set both you and the graduate up for success! All we ask for in exchange is that the Employer provide candid feedback on graduate performance.
  • How do I get access to Eleven Fifty graduates?

    When you partner with Eleven Fifty, our Career Services Team will work with you to find the right candidates for your position. If you’re looking for direct hire applicants, we’re more than happy to introduce you to our SmartStart graduates. We would love to talk with you about how we support our graduates and employers.

  • How can I get early access to the students prior to graduation?

    Employers can get early exposure to our students and best position their company for consideration by sponsoring a Lunch and Learn. Volunteer opportunities are also available for participation in mock interviews scheduled at various times during the courses. Contact the Career Readiness Team to learn more about available dates for Lunch and Learns and mock interviews.
  • How does the internship/apprenticeship process work?

    We’ve made the process as simple as possible for every employer. Our Career Readiness Team will meet with you and your hiring team to determine the type of candidate you’re looking for. We’ll provide a list of students and their resumes that match your growing tech needs. Once you’ve made your choice, we will share how the Career Readiness team supports the employer and the graduate to position you both for success.  We’ll also make you aware of programs and incentives that can help support the costs involved in hiring entry-level talent.
  • What are the costs associated with hiring an Eleven Fifty graduate?

    There is no financial cost to engage with an Eleven Fifty graduate for an internship, apprenticeship or direct hire. We do ask that you pay the graduate a living wage of at least $15/hour, and we ask for your participation with the Academy in providing feedback related to your experience with the graduate, and with volunteering. We are constantly working to help ensure that our program successfully meet both the graduate and the employer’s needs. With your active participation in providing graduate feedback, serving on curriculum review boards and participating in our mock interview process, we will partner with you to make a positive impact on the technology talent pool in Indiana!
