Life-long learning was heavily stressed to students at the college I attended, so I love the idea of learning new skills, teaching yourself, and just being curious about new things. Helping people learn to teach themselves new skills is fascinating to me, and the world of coding and software development is the perfect environment to flex those muscles.
I worked in Excel for a number of years – I found myself doing it for fun and a friend told me I should learn to code. I said, “what’s coding?” – I googled it, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
I used to be ranked in the world top 100 in Minesweeper.
