Foundation is designed to prepare students with the technical and accelerated learning building blocks to successfully complete Software Development (SD) II and III. In SD I we focus on the basics of coding, including exposure to two programming languages, and building confidence. Students collaborate to produce functioning applications. Students may not always understand the “why” behind the applications. The “why” skills are further developed in SD II and SD III. Students will finish by coding a solo project, ready for the Core II. Students will have an opportunity to obtain an industry-recognized CIW certificate at no additional cost.

Blue BADGE: Software Development II

Transition is focused on understanding back-end development, team collaboration and exposure to front-end development. During this course, students will build web applications focusing on back-end Microsoft software development tools. Students will learn the fundamentals of code-first development and databases, using tools such as Entity Framework and SQL Server Management Studio. Students will work with a team to design and develop a Web API utilizing ASP.NET. Students will attend workshops that cover topics such as User Experience/ User Interface (UX/UI) and Testing, and career readiness.

Polishing Your skills: Acceleration

RED BADGE: Software Development III

Acceleration is designed to complete the puzzle and get you hired. During this course, students will work to build and deploy a full stack project according to requirements using standard industry documents like Statement of Work and Technical Requirements. Students will complete a solo project that demonstrates the ability to develop in the .NET environment. Students will attend workshops that cover topics such as technology awareness, security and contracts, intellectual property, and career readiness.

Diversity in Technology Scholarship 

  • This scholarship focuses on broadening the number of traditionally under represented groups in the tech industry
  • Scholarship amount: Up to $3,500
  • You must have a minimum of a high school diploma
  • You must enroll in either the Cybersecurity or Software Development programs at Eleven Fifty Academy

Women in Technology Scholarship

  • This scholarship focuses on broadening the number women in the tech industry
  • Scholarship amount: Up to $3,500
  • You must have a minimum of a high school diploma

Veterans/First Responders Scholarship

  • This scholarship is available to all current service men/women, veterans of the armed services and first responders (police, EMT, fire)
  • You must prove you have or are currently serving in the armed services or you are currently employed as a police officer, EMT, or firefighter
  • Scholarship amount: Up to $3,500
    You must enroll in either the Cybersecurity or Software Development programs EFA at Eleven Fifty Academy

Eleven Fifty Academy Achievement Scholarship:  

  • Available to prospective students that have demonstrated success in previous academic, workplace, or volunteer activities
  • Scholarship amount: Up to $3,500
Scholarship Rules and Guidelines
  • Scholarships are awarded at the sole discretion of Eleven Fifty personnel.
  • Scholarships are NOT stackable, meaning that only one EFA institutional scholarship may be used by each student.
  • Additional outside scholarships or funding may be utilized in conjunction with the EFA Institutional Scholarships.  
  • Applicants can apply for a scholarship by writing a 250-word, prompt-based essay.  Essay prompts for each scholarship will be delivered to prospective applicants by their admissions advisor.
  • If a student receives a scholarship and then does not enroll, withdraws or drops a program, they are no longer eligible for any future scholarships.

Progressive Income Share Agreement (PISA)

How it works: Defer tuition payment and repay once you land a job earning at least $46,500. Unlike other Income Share Agreements (ISA) that charge up to 2x+ what you borrow, repay only what you borrow. PISAs are sponsored by charitable foundations, businesses, government, private donors and others. They are designed to help today and tomorrow. Graduates pay-it-forward when they succeed. Repayment replenishes the fund to help the next generation of the tech workforce.

Best if you want to: Reduce upfront costs and defer payments until after you are hired.

Repayment: 5%-monthly net income once making $46,500/year. 0%-interest. Repayment helps fund future student tuition.

Availability: Various programs available. Eligibility based on demographic, military status, and residential zip code.

Requirements: Indiana resident, minimum GED or high school diploma, 3 references, background check.
